Glaswegian Garage/Post-Punk trio, 'The Kidney Flowers’ live shows have been described as ‘nothing short of electrifying’, with their unique sound and explosive energy having earned them a reputation as being one of Scotland’s ‘must-see’ live acts.
Based in their native Glasgow, the group initially formed as a duo, with couple Grant Canyon on guitar/vocals and Abigail A. on drums. The band were eventually joined by Tog Miller on Bass in 2022.
The band’s distinctive, raw sound owes much to the primitive, stripped back approach of drummer Abigail. A rookie to the kit before starting the band, Abigail taught herself to play drums after listening to 60’s garage bands on repeat. The raw and powerful beats are the driving force behind Grant’s agitated, dissonant guitar style, his politically charged, frantic vocal delivery and Tog Miller’s virtuosic, fuzzed out bass playing.
Championed by the likes of BBC Radio 6 Music, Snack Mag, The List and The Herald, the band have been playing packed out shows across the UK since 2022, with their hunger for touring having earned them a dedicated and growing fanbase across the country.
