A Monthly Sunday Open Mic.

It’s a stage prioritising women and gender-minority voices, while still welcoming everyone who wants to come along, listen, and support.

We’re especially excited that the first edition will be hosted by Monika! Passionate about the local community and creating encouraging, safe spaces to perform, Monika hosted the Wood St Open Mic and other events for several years. So it feels very special to have her back!

As a singer-songwriter herself, she knows both the power of music, poetry, and performance, and the very real nerves and challenges of standing up on a stage.

She’ll also be bringing a keyboard to the first event, so there’ll be even more possibilities for different kinds of performances.
