SisterHudd feat Sarala Soul, Rachel Horton, Elica + others

07 March 2026

Join us as we officially launch SisterHudd’s new 18-month programme dedicated to championing women and women-fronted artists in grassroots music in Huddersfield. This special opening night marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter - and as it takes place on the eve of International Women’s Day, it feels like the perfect moment to celebrate the talent, creativity and power of women in our local scene.

Sarala Soul

Honest and soulful, Sarala Soul sings straight from the heart. From sharing stages with FKJ in Manchester to opening for Huddersfield’s own Kemetstry for Akala, she brings versatility, rawness and realness to every performance. Yet her voice feels like a warm hug on a cold day.

For this launch night, Sarala will perform two unique sets: an intimate set accompanied by guitarist Rachel Horton and a collaborative set featuring special guest artists!

Elica

Bringing her latest project to the stage, Elica (Ella Greenwood) blends keys, synth, acoustic bass and drums into a rich, genre-crossing sound. A producer with a background in jazz piano, Elica will be joined by Laurie Smart (bass, synth) and Tariq Megrisi (drums) for a dynamic live performance.

We’ll also hear a powerful spoken word set from Alixia, adding another layer of storytelling to the evening, alongside a closing DJ set from Meleisha to carry us through to the end of the evening.

Come celebrate with us as we step into this new chapter together.
