Listening to Soul music wasn’t enough. Neither was dancing to it or digging records. The Honey Drops came out of an obsession, a will and, to a degree, a need. Writing and playing songs they’d love to hear in the darkest of dancefloors, the place to soak up new and obscure tracks from days-gone-by without losing the perspective of time. To sweat and move, to let go and groove. They got the Soul. They got the Rhythm. And, yes, they got the Blues. On the 28th of March they’ll cross the Pennines for the first time after playing a bunch of shows in Manchester, where they hail from, as well as Birmingham and a couple of gigs in Spain.
