Rare and beautiful folk songs from around Europe and America arranged and interwoven with care and craft, and plenty of craic. Hebble are an eclectic world folk band with a unique set of instruments that play lively, international traditional music in multiple languages.
Probably the only trio in the world with Greek Bouzouki, Bodhran, and Cello + 3 vocals. Hebble also has a handful of original songs and tunes inspired by the myth and landscape of the British Isles. Upbeat and interactive with twists of the alternative, and plenty of three-part harmonies.
Hebble are:
- Sam Hodgson (aka Samh) - singer-songwriter, guitarist, & bouzouki player
- Aidan Kilroy - bodhran player & singer
- Helena Drumm - cellist & singer
Quotes
"From the very first tune, they had the audience eating out of their hands. Every time they kicked off another song or tune, the expectation of ' what now?' was palpable. Not only are they superb musicians, the warmth and humour of each personality shines through on stage. I can't wait to get these guys back." - MAGGIE GARRAT, MEWL music
"A great trio. Wonderful harmony singing. Virtuosic instrumental music underpinned by top percussion. A must to see and hear." - TOM MCCONVILLE, BBC folk musician of the year
"Amazing. Oh my gosh, that was so good. Amazing, absolutely amazing, I love that! Absolutely incredible." - GAYLE LOFTHOUSE, BBC Radio Leeds
