A stylish and troubling erotic thriller from Henri-Georges Clouzot, the famed director of THE WAGES OF FEAR and DIABOLIQUE, often dubbed "The French Hitchcock". The perfect tonic for any post-Valentine's Day blues! 

 

With its eye-popping use of colour, dizzying camerawork and a constant psychosexual charge, LA PRISONNIÈRE utilises many of the striking visual techniques Clouzot pioneered for his legendary abandoned film L'ENFER (THE INFERNO) and would ultimately prove to be his swansong, anchored by two fearlessly committed lead performances from Elisabeth Wiener and Laurent Terzieff.
